4. Installation Guide (Socket Fusion)

To ensure the PN25 pressure rating is maintained, the fusion must be done correctly:

1. Preparation: Cut the 50mm and 32mm pipes squarely using a PPRc cutter.⁶ Clean the pipe ends and the inside of the reducer socket with alcohol to remove grease or dust.

2. Heating: Use a PPRc welding machine with 50mm and 32mm dies set to 260°C.

   • Insert the 50mm pipe and the 50mm side of the socket into the heater.

   • Hold for approximately 18–24 seconds (for 50mm) and 8–10 seconds (for 32mm).

3. Joining: Remove from the heater and immediately push the pipe into the socket without twisting.

4. Cooling: Hold the joint steady for about 30 seconds. Do not put the joint under pressure for at least 15–30 minutes until it has reached ambient temperature.
