What is Elbow male 32×3/4″ Brass DADEX PPRc ?
Elbow Male 32×3/4″ Brass DADEX PPRc PN25 fitting, widely used in HVAC and hot/cold water supply systems:
Description
- One end of the Elbow Male 32×3/4″ Brass DADEX PPRc PN25 features a male brass thread, while the other end houses a PPR socket. This elbow redirects piping by 90° (and sometimes 45°), connecting a 32mm PPR pipe to a 3/4″ (20mm) threaded metal pipe or fixture. The brass thread creates a secure, leak-proof connection to metal components, while the PPR socket fuses to PPR pipes to form a strong, durable joint.
Specifications
- Material: PPR (Type 3) with brass threaded insert for the male end.
- Pressure Rating: PN25 (25 bars/2.5 MPa), suitable for high-pressure applications in both hot and cold water systems.
- Temperature Rating: Up to 95°C for hot water, down to -35°C for cold water, making it ideal for HVAC and water supply systems.
- Standards: Manufactured according to DIN8077/8078 and ISO 15874 standards, ensuring quality and compatibility.
- Sizes: 32mm PPR socket x 3/4″ male brass thread.
- Connection Method: Socket fusion welding for the PPR side, threaded connection for the brass side.
Installation
- Preparation: Clean both the PPR pipe and fitting socket to remove any dirt or moisture.
- Fusion Welding: Use a PPR fusion machine set to 260±5°C. Heat both the pipe and fitting socket simultaneously, then join them quickly and hold for a few seconds to cool and form a strong bond.
- Threaded Connection: Apply Teflon tape or thread sealant to the male brass thread before screwing it into the female threaded component to prevent leaks.
- Pressure Testing: After installation, conduct a hydrostatic test at 1.5x the working pressure (e.g., 37.5 bars for PN25) and hold for 30 minutes to ensure no leaks.
Usage
- Applications: Hot and cold water supply, HVAC systems, underfloor heating, and industrial piping where a transition from PPR to metal is required.
- Advantages: Corrosion-resistant, hygienic, long service life, and easy installation. The brass thread ensures compatibility with metal fixtures, while the PPR socket provides a durable, leak-proof connection to PPR piping
