Description

The end cap fits over or into the end of a 6″ SCH 40 pipe, effectively sealing it. It’s made of UPVC to resist chemical corrosion and environmental wear, making it suitable for water, chemical processing, and sewage systems. The product is a slip end type intended to fit snugly and is lightweight yet strong.

Usage

• Used to close the open end of a 6-inch UPVC Schedule 40 pipe in plumbing installations.

• Commonly applied in water supply systems, irrigation, sewage disposal, chemical processing, and electrical conduit protection.

• Ensures no leakage from pipe ends, maintaining system integrity and preventing contaminant ingress.

Installation

• Cut pipe end square to avoid joint failure.

• Remove any burrs and bevel the pipe end at about 10°-15°.

• Clean pipe end to remove dirt, grease, moisture.

• Dry fit the pipe and end cap to ensure a proper snug fit.

• Use appropriate UPVC solvent cement compatible with SCH 40 pipes.

• Apply solvent cement evenly on the pipe’s outer end and inside the end cap socket.

• Insert the pipe into the cap fully, give a quarter turn to evenly spread the cement.

• Hold in position until the joint sets and doesn’t move back.

• Remove excess cement for a neat finish.

• Allow curing as per manufacturer instructions for a durable and leak-free seal.
