Installation Guidelines

Pipe Preparation:
-
Cut the 4″ uPVC pipe squarely using a PVC cutter or hacksaw.

Remove burrs and smooth the edge with sandpaper.

Cleaning:
-
Clean the outside of the pipe end and the inside of the end cap socket with a clean cloth.
-
Use PVC cleaner/primer if available.
-

Applying Solvent Cement:
-
Apply an even coat of uPVC solvent cement on both the pipe end and inside of the end cap socket.
-

Jointing:
-
Quickly push the end cap onto the pipe while rotating slightly (1/4 turn) to spread cement.
-
Hold in place for 30 seconds to ensure bonding.

Curing:
-
Allow the joint to cure as per cement manufacturer’s instructions (usually 15–30 minutes for initial set, 24 hours for full cure).

Testing:

Perform a pressure test after curing to ensure a leak-proof seal.
