What is Elbow Female 25×3/4″ Brass RAKtherm PPRc ?
The RAKtherm PPRc Elbow Female 25 × 3/4″ Brass PN 25 is a combination PPR fitting designed to connect a 25 mm PPR pipe to a 3/4-inch male threaded metal fitting while changing the pipe direction by 90°. It combines a PPRc body with a high-quality brass female threaded insert, making it ideal for connecting taps, valves, shower mixers, water meters, and other threaded plumbing fixtures in hot and cold water systems. RAKtherm PPR piping systems are designed for potable water, HVAC, and other pressurized piping applications.

Applications
This fitting is widely used in:
- Domestic hot and cold water supply systems.
- HVAC heating and chilled water networks.
- Bathroom and kitchen plumbing.
- Water heater and geyser connections.
- Shower mixers and wash basin mixers.
- Water meters and control valves.
- Hotels, hospitals, schools, commercial buildings, and residential projects.
- Industrial and process water distribution systems.
Installation Procedure
- Cut the 25 mm PPR pipe square using a PPR pipe cutter.
- Clean and deburr the pipe end.
- Heat the pipe and socket of the fitting simultaneously with a PPR fusion welding machine (typically 260°C).
- Insert the pipe fully into the fitting without twisting and hold until the joint cools.
- Wrap PTFE (Teflon) tape or an approved thread sealant around the 3/4″ male threaded fitting.
- Tighten the male threaded fitting into the brass female thread using the correct wrench. Avoid overtightening.
- Allow the fusion joint to cool completely before pressure testing the system.
Usage Guidelines
- Use only with 25 mm PN 25 PPR pipes.
- Connect only compatible 3/4″ BSP male threaded fittings.
- Avoid excessive tightening that could damage the brass insert.
- Support pipelines properly to minimize stress on threaded joints.
- Perform a hydrostatic pressure test before commissioning the system.
Advantages
- Provides a reliable transition from plastic piping to metal threaded fixtures.
- Leak-proof socket fusion connection.
- Strong brass threads offer excellent mechanical strength.
- Corrosion and scale resistant for long-term performance.
- Hygienic, non-toxic, and safe for potable drinking water.
- Suitable for demanding HVAC, residential, commercial, and industrial water supply systems with minimal maintenance.
