What is PPR Pipe 75mm Aluminum Layer ?
The PPR Pipe 75mm Aluminum Layer Q-Therm PN 25 is a multi-layer polypropylene random copolymer (PPRc) pipe reinforced with an aluminum layer. This design combines the corrosion resistance and hygienic benefits of PPR with the strength and dimensional stability of aluminum. The aluminum layer minimizes thermal expansion, reduces vibration, and ensures excellent durability, making it ideal for hot and cold water supply systems in residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

Long service life (up to 50 years under standard conditions).
Applications / Usage
-
Hot & Cold Water Distribution in residential and commercial buildings.
-
Central heating systems (radiators, fan coil units, underfloor heating).
-
Chilled water networks (HVAC applications).
-
Industrial fluid transport where stability and high pressure are required.
-
Compressed air piping systems.
-
Hospitals, hotels, and high-rise buildings where long straight runs require minimal expansion.
Installation Guidelines
-
Pipe Cutting:
-
Cut the pipe with a PPR pipe cutter to ensure a clean, straight edge.
-
-
Aluminum Layer Preparation:
-
Since this is an Aluminum Layer Pipe, use a pipe scraper (peeling tool) to remove the thin outer PPR + aluminum layer before socket fusion.
-
This ensures proper bonding of PPR-to-PPR during welding.
-
-
Marking Insertion Depth:
-
Mark the socket depth on the pipe to ensure full insertion.
-
-
Heating:
-
Use a PPR fusion welding machine (set at ~260°C).
-
Heat both the pipe end and the fitting socket simultaneously for the recommended heating time (for 75mm ~15 seconds).
-
-
Joining:
-
Insert the pipe into the fitting socket up to the marked depth without twisting.
-
Hold steady for a few seconds.
-
-
Cooling:
-
Allow the joint to cool naturally for 2–3 minutes. Do not apply force or water during cooling.
-
-
Testing:
-
After the full system installation, conduct a hydrostatic pressure test to check leak-proof performance.
