What is Female Socket 25×1/2″ RAKtherm PPRc ?
A Female Socket 25×1/2″ RAKtherm PPRc PN 25 is a transition fitting used to connect a 25 mm PPRc pipe line to a 1/2″ female threaded connection for valves, taps, mixers, pumps, or HVAC water equipment. It is commonly used in hot and cold water supply systems because the PPRc body handles pressure and temperature well, while the brass threaded insert provides a reliable metal connection.arcorporation+1
What it is
This fitting is typically a socket-fusion PPRc fitting with a brass female thread insert. The The 25 mm side welds directly to the pipe, while the 1/2″ side accommodates a male threaded component like a valve stem, angle valve, pump connection, or appliance fitting. RAKtherm PPRc products are UAE-imported, food-grade, and ideal for potable water and HVAC water applications.
Main specifications
RAKtherm PN 25 fittings are generally intended for higher-pressure service than PN 20 fittings, and are used in plumbing and HVAC systems where pressure and temperature resistance matter.irfantraders+1
Description and performance
The PPRc body is lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and does not rust or scale like metal fittings. The brass insert gives strong thread engagement for metal accessories and helps reduce thread wear during maintenance. Because it is a transition fitting, it is especially useful where a plastic PPR system must connect to a metallic device or fixture.arcorporation+1
Installation
-
Cut the 25 mm PPR pipe squarely and clean the end.
-
Heat the pipe and socket end with a PPR fusion machine at the standard fusion temperature used for PPR systems.
-
Insert the pipe fully into the socket without twisting, then hold it steady until it cools.
-
For the 1/2″ female thread side, apply PTFE tape or suitable thread sealant on the matching male thread before tightening.
-
Do not overtighten the brass insert, because excess torque can damage the fitting body.
-
Pressure-test the line before commissioning.
Usage
This fitting is commonly used in:
-
Domestic hot and cold water lines.
-
HVAC water circuits and small hydronic connections.
-
Connections to valves, filters, pumps, taps, and bathroom fixtures.
-
Transition points where a PPR pipeline must interface with threaded metal equipment.
