AGM UPVC Red Bush 6×4″ Sch 40 is a reducing bush adapter from Arabian Gulf Manufacturers (AGM) in Saudi Arabia, designed to connect 6-inch UPVC pipe to 4-inch pipe in sewerage, drainage, waste, and low-pressure water supply systems.​

Description

This red-colored UPVC fitting has a 6-inch socket (female) end transitioning to a 4-inch spigot (male) end, used for visual identification in non-potable sewerage applications versus gray or white pressure fittings.
>>Produced with SABIC UPVC resin, it provides corrosion resistance, lightweight construction, and smooth flow surfaces for efficient transitions in underground or exposed piping.

Specifications

• Material: UPVC (Cell Class 12454 per ASTM D1784), non-conductive and resistant to chemicals/sewage.

• Dimensions: 6″ OD (~6.625″) to 4″ OD (~4.500″), Sch 40 wall thickness (~0.280″ for 6″, ~0.237″ for 4″).

• Pressure Rating: Up to 180 PSI at 73°F (23°C) with 2:1 safety factor; max temperature 140°F (60°C).

• Standards: ASTM D2466 for Sch 40 fittings, suitable for DWV/sewerage per SASO equivalents.​

Installation

Prepare pipe ends by cleaning, apply AGM primer then solvent cement per ASTM D2855, fully insert 4″ spigot into 6″ socket (bell depth ~4-6″), and hold for 30 seconds to set.
Ensure uniform cement application for watertight joints; provide supports per span requirements and backfill carefully in trenches.​

Usage

Employed for size reductions in sewerage mains, drainage branches, non-potable irrigation, or vent systems; ideal for corrosive environments with low-friction ID. Avoid potable hot water, gases, or exceeding pressure/temperature limits—compatible only with Sch 40 UPVC pipes.
