Installation Guidelines
- Cut & Prepare: Ensure pipes are cut square and edges are smooth.
- Cleaning: Wipe pipe ends and fitting sockets clean of dust and moisture.
- Solvent Cement: Apply UPVC solvent cement evenly inside the bush socket and outside the pipe end.
- Assembly: Insert pipe into the bush quickly and hold for 30 seconds to ensure bonding.
- Curing: Allow at least 24 hours for full curing before pressure testing.
- Support: Use proper clamps or hangers to avoid stress on joints.
Usage Applications
- Sewerage Systems: Connects larger sewer lines with smaller branch lines.
- Water Supply Lines: Distributes water from a larger pipe to a smaller branch.
- Drainage & Ventilation: Used in residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing.
- Chemical Resistance: Suitable for transporting non-corrosive fluids.
Key Considerations & Risks
- Pressure Limitations: SCH-40 UPVC is not suitable for very high-pressure industrial applications.
- Temperature Sensitivity: Avoid use with hot water above 60°C, as UPVC may deform.
- Proper Cementing: Poor solvent welding can cause leaks.
- UV Exposure: Extended outdoor use requires UV-protected variants or insulation.
