This red-colored UPVC bush features a 1-inch socket end (female) transitioning to a 3/4-inch spigot end (male), distinguishing it from gray pressure or white potable fittings for visual identification in non-potable applications.

Installation

Clean ends thoroughly, apply AGM primer followed by solvent cement per ASTM D2855, push spigot fully into receiving socket (depth ~1-1.5″ for these sizes), and hold for 30 seconds. Ensure even cement layer for leak-proof seal; support piping per code and avoid over-tightening.​

Usage

Applied in sewerage/drainage transitions, non-potable water distribution, or vent lines to reduce pipe size without extra couplings; excels in corrosive soils and low-friction flow. Not for potable hot water, gases, or pressures beyond rating—pair with Sch 40 pipes for compatibility.
