AGM is a Saudi brand (Arabian Gulf Manufacturers Co. Ltd., Jeddah) producing UPVC/CPVC pipes and fittings using SABIC raw material, with systems for water supply, drainage, sewer, and ventilation. The 1-1/4″ UPVC male adapter is described in Pakistan as an imported Saudi AGM Schedule 40 pressure fitting for drain, sewer, and ventilation uses.​

This fitting is a male adapter with:

• One solvent-weld spigot/plain end to join UPVC pipe.

• One male threaded (MIP/MPT) end to screw into a female threaded fitting, valve, or device.​

Material and specification

AGM Schedule 40 UPVC fittings are made from rigid un plasticized PVC resin that complies with ASTM D1784, and their dimensions adhere to ASTM D2466 for Schedule 40 pressure fittings. Installation guidelines

For the solvent-weld (spigot) side:

• Cut pipe square, chamfer the edge, clean and dry; apply UPVC primer/cleaner if recommended, then AGM-compatible UPVC solvent cement and push fully home with a twist, holding until set.​

• Avoid excessive cement that may puddle inside the fitting and reduce bore.​

For the male threaded side:

• Use PTFE tape (or suitable thread sealant) on the male thread; do not overwrap to avoid splitting the female fitting.​

• Hand-tighten, then use a wrench for only a small additional turn; over-tightening can crack UPVC threads or female fittings, especially with metal counterparts.​
