What is PPR Heater Fusion Machine 110mm ?
Technicians use a specialized tool, the PPR Heater Fusion Machine (110mm), to weld and join PPR (Polypropylene Random Copolymer) pipes and fittings through a process called “heat fusion.”
The design accommodates pipes up to 110mm in diameter and ensures a strong, leak-proof bond by melting the pipe ends and fusing them together.
Key Features:
1. Functionality:
- The machine heats the ends of the PPR pipes and fittings using specially designed heating plates.
- After heating, we press the melted surfaces together, creating a permanent, seamless bond as they cool down.
- This technique ensures that the joint is as strong as the pipe itself, capable of withstanding high pressure and temperature.
2. Components:
- Heating Plate: The core of the machine, where different sizes of heating dies (for different pipe diameters) are attached. These dies heat both the pipe and the fitting simultaneously.
- Temperature Control: Allows users to adjust and maintain the correct temperature for fusing PPR pipes, typically around 260??C (500??F).
- Heater Socket Dies (Moulds): Interchangeable dies that fit various pipe diameters. For a 110mm machine, the largest die is for pipes with a 110mm diameter.
- Base Unit: Holds the heating plate and ensures stability during the welding process.
- Handle: Ergonomic handle to facilitate holding and applying pressure when connecting pipes.
3. Specifications:
- Pipe Size Capacity: Up to 110mm in diameter. The machine can typically handle smaller diameters as well, depending on the die sizes.
- Temperature Range: The machine heats the dies to a range between 240??C to 270??C, which is the ideal temperature for welding PPR pipes.
- Power Source: Usually operates on standard electrical power (220V or 110V), and power ratings typically range between 800W to 1500W.
- Portability: Many models are designed to be lightweight and portable, making them suitable for on-site work.
4. Operation:
- Preparation: Ensure the pipe and fittings are clean and free from dirt or moisture.
- Heating: Insert the ends of the pipe and fitting into the corresponding heater dies. Allow them to heat for the specified time until the material is soft and ready for fusion.
- Fusion: Once the ends are adequately heated, remove them from the dies and immediately press them together. Hold them in position for a few seconds to allow the bond to form as they cool down.
- Cooling: Let the joined pipe cool naturally without any movement to ensure a strong and secure joint.
