What is Elbow male 25×1/2″ Brass RAKtherm PPRc ?
The RAKtherm 25mm x 1/2″ Male Brass Elbow (PN-25) is a premium, dual-material transition fitting engineered by Tahweel Piping Systems in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Technical Specifications
The integration of DZR (Dezincification Resistant) brass into a PN-25 rated PPRc body ensures the fitting can withstand high mechanical tightening torque and severe temperature fluctuations without weeping or cracking.

Product Applications & Usage Elbow male 25×1/2″ Brass RAKtherm PPRc
-
HVAC Fan Coil Units (FCU): Acts as the critical transition elbow feeding chilled or hot water from the 25mm PPRc branch line directly into the 1/2″ female ports of FCU control valves or actuators.
-
Sanitary Fixture Connections: Used behind walls to connect concealed hot/cold water supply lines directly to external chrome-plated flexible hoses, mixer taps, and shower matrix blocks.
-
Manifold Outlets: Ideal for connecting plastic distribution loops to metallic radiant underfloor heating manifolds or commercial zone control valves.
-
High-Pressure Isolation Zones: Serves as the junction point for screwing in metallic ball valves, air vents, or pressure gauges directly into a plastic pipeline.
Technical Features & Advantages
-
Anti-Torque Multi-Tooth Design: The brass insert is embedded into the PPRc plastic structure using an advanced multi-grooved, molded mechanical lock. This prevents the brass piece from spinning or breaking away inside the plastic housing when high torque is applied during final plumbing wrench tightening.
-
Corrosion Minimization: The inner geometry is engineered to prevent direct galvanic corrosion or scaling at the border where the metal meets the plastic, maintaining an optimal flow rate.
Installation Guidelines
1. PPRc Socket Fusion Side (25mm Joint)
-
Prepare: Cut the 25mm PPRc pipe perfectly flat and clean any debris from the pipe exterior and the elbow’s plastic socket.
-
Mark Depth: Draw a strict insertion depth line at 15 mm on the 25mm pipe.
-
Heat: Heat both the pipe end and the plastic socket side of the elbow simultaneously on a 260°C welding iron for exactly 7 seconds.
-
Fuse: Push the pipe straight into the elbow socket up to the 15mm mark. Do not twist. Hold firmly for 4 seconds to set, then allow it to cool naturally for 2 minutes before applying any strain.
2. Threaded Brass Side (1/2″ Male Joint)
-
Sealant Selection: Apply high-quality PTFE (Teflon) tape or an approved pipe joint compound clockwise around the 1/2″ male brass threads.
-
Thread Engagement: Thread the fitting into the corresponding 1/2″ female metallic port by hand first to prevent cross-threading.
-
Tightening Torque: Use a smooth-jawed spanner or adjustable wrench on the molded hexagonal plastic/brass section of the elbow to tighten. Do not overtighten or use heavy pipe wrenches directly on the round plastic body, as excessive leverage can stress the internal mechanical bond over time.
