🔧 Installation & Joining

Installation Method:
AGM UPVC elbows are usually joined to UPVC pipe with solvent cement (solvent welding). This creates a strong, permanent, leak-resistant bond when done correctly.

Installation Steps:

1. Cut and prepare the pipe:

   • Trim the pipe square and remove burrs/debris.

2. Clean & prime:

   • (If required by code) use a UPVC primer on pipe end and fitting socket.

3. Apply solvent cement:

   • Coat both the pipe end and inside socket of the elbow with UPVC solvent cement.

4. Assemble:

   • Insert pipe into fitting fully with a slight twist.

   • Hold until set.

5. Cure:

   • Let the solvent glue properly cure before testing the system.

Important: Follow solvent cement manufacturer instructions for temperature and curing times.
